crocheted scarves and scarf-like things!

i learned to crochet last year, but i still haven't gotten past the basic learning. i got really into it for awhile though and made a ton of scarfs/scarf-like things.












(these are two. they're just small.)


(i wanted to make this really long and wide 'cause it's so thick and nice, but the yarn is pretty damn expensive. i only got it originally, because there was a giant sale going on.)

I tried picking up crochet a while back and it just wouldn't stick.

yeah, i tried back when i was still in high school, but i was totally uninterested after ten minutes. this time around, i had LOTS of free time, so it was easily picked up. i still only know the basics, but it's a fun hobby regardless.

how did you do the scalloped? edges on the scarf like things?

the edges of it? i don't really know what it's called or if it has a name! i guess just a single crochet loop and then i went back to three or four loops. haha, i'm really bad at crochet terminology.
