VEGAN BLACK BEAN BURGERS ingredients: 1 16 oz can of black beans 3 slices of a soft bread (i used sourdough…BOMB) 1 cup ish of italian bread crumbs 2 tbsp ish of flour onion flakes, to taste olive oil directions: 1. empty the black beans into a bowl, with the liquid, and mash them up real good. rip up the bread into tiny chunks and mash it in with the beans. (best tools for this are a potato masher. if you dont have one, you can also use your hands but it gets pretty messy) at this point, it should still be fairly liquid-y. 2. add the bread crumbs & flour and mix it in until it gets to a sticky consistency and most of the liquid is absorbed. this part is approximate and also depends on what kinda taste you’re going for. 3. add the onion flakes and mix it one final time. divide the mixture into patties, however big you want. put some olive oil so it covers a pan on medium-high heat (like 6 or 7). brown on each side for about 4 minutes. 4. put that ish on a bun. best condiment for these is ketchup. in the picture though, i had mine on a sandwich thin, with spinach & ketcup. it’s also pretty good with hummus. I'm not much a fan of vegan food, I'm a meat-aholic but DAMN that sounds great!
