I think we've probably all seen Molly's studded belt tutorial. Well, I've been riding my bike lately, and my back wheel suffered a blowout. I pulled out the inner tube, and it hit me: I have a friend who needs a belt (and is moving to China, so I should probably give him a gift), and I have this inner tube.....a-ha! And so I set about making him a recycled studded belt. As you can see, I did it a little differently. I left the inner tube whole, instead of trimming it down, so it has a nice edge. I also gave it a buckle (from another belt that I dissected).

i like the two lines of studs spaced out like that! nice! Yeah, it took me a couple tests to figure out how to make it look right, because I didn't want to make three rows. I like how it turned out too Thanks! I discovered that if I put one stud in, and then insert the next stud's post into the same hole from the first, they came out pretty straight. And then you don't have to worry about spacing them unevenly or anything.
